Orthoptic Sets and Quadric Hypersurfaces

چکیده

Orthoptic curves for the conics are well known. It is Monge's circle ellipse and hyperbola, parabola it its directrix. These level sets of quadratic functions in plane. We consider higher dimension, known as quadric hypersurfaces. For these hypersurfaces we present study their orthoptic sets, which extend idea conics.

Rational Points on Intersections of Cubic and Quadric Hypersurfaces

We investigate the Hasse principle for complete intersections cut out by a quadric and cubic hypersurface defined over the rational numbers.

Random Matrices and the Expected Topology of Quadric Hypersurfaces

Let XR be the zero locus in RP n of one or two independently and Weyl distributed random real quadratic forms. Denoting by XC the complex part in CP n of XR and by b(XR) and b(XC) the sums of their Betti numbers, we prove that: (1) lim n→∞ Eb(XR) n = 1. In particular for one quadric hypersurface asymptotically Smith’s inequality b(XR) ≤ b(XC) is expected to be sharp. The methods we use combine ...

Stable Vector Bundles on Quadric Hypersurfaces L. Ein and I. Sols

§0. Barth, Hulek and Maruyama have showed that the moduli of stable rank 2 vector bundles on P are nonsingular rational varieties. There are also many examples of stable rank 2 vector bundles on P. On the other hand, there is essentially only one example of rank 2 bundles on P\ which is constructed by Horrocks and Mumford. We hope the study of rank 2 bundles on hypersurfaces in P may give more ...

Qregularity and Tensor Products of Vector Bundles on Smooth Quadric Hypersurfaces

Let Qn ⊂ P n+1 be a smooth quadric hypersurface. Here we prove that the tensor product of an m-Qregular sheaf on Qn and an l-Qregular vector bundle on Qn is (m + l)-Qregular.

On the Finite Field Nullstellensatz for the intersection of two quadric hypersurfaces

braic scheme defined over a finite field GFðpÞ.X ðKÞwill denote the set of allK-points of X . For every power q of p with qd p let XðqÞ denote the set of all GFðqÞ-points of X . Hence XðqÞJX ðq 0Þ if q, q 0 are p-powers and q 0 d qd p. XðKÞ is the union of all XðqÞ, qg 0 and q a p-power. If X is reduced, then the scheme X is uniquely determined by the algebraic variety XðKÞ in the sense of Serr...
